TOGETHER WE CAN
PROGRAM TO TRANSFORM CENTRAL FLORIDA’S TITLE 1 SCHOOLS
ORLANDO, FLORIDA, Monday, August 12, 2024 — Johnny Magic, Host of Johnny's House on XL 1067, announced today that he has launched a new program called Together We Can in collaboration with his recognized non-profit, Baby DJ Inc. Johnny Magic, who was recently inducted into The Florida Broadcasters Hall of Fame, continues to be an inspirational and influential pillar in the Central Florida community. Together We Can was founded with an ambitious goal to support a Title I school by ensuring it has the resources needed to successfully become an 'A' school. The goal is to demonstrate that with the support of the community and local businesses, any school can achieve this level of excellence.
“It really has been amazing to see how our community rallies behind our Baby DJ program year after year. I’m excited for our new program, Together We Can. It’s an initiative to show that together, right here in Central Florida, we can continue to make positive changes. I want to start by helping this elementary school and to show that with the right resources, every Title I school can become an 'A' school. We are going to make sure that those teachers have everything that they need for their kids. Together we can do anything,” said Johnny Magic, Host of Johnny's House on XL 1067 and Founder of Baby DJ.
Together We Can will partner with one Central Florida Title I school at a time and focus on supporting the school in areas where they normally wouldn’t receive assistance. Starting with providing school supplies for every student and teacher. The program plans to make enhancements to the school by painting inspirational murals and installing heritage pieces, facilitating fundamental repairs and updates, and starting a clothing drive, book drive and a food pantry. Together We Can aspires to expand into updating the school’s landscaping, equipment and materials for their sporting and arts programs, and offer additional ESOL and tutoring opportunities, all while striving to amplify student success, happiness and opportunities.
